MPT One Year Celebration Event

More Positive Together is a Lancashire-wide project which will help 2,250 residents of the county’s most deprived neighbourhoods to improve their skills and employment prospects. It is led by Active Lancashire and supported by funding from the European Social Fund. The Projects Partners include Social Housing Providers across Lancashire supported by the Princes Trust, Groundwork and Selnet all offering support to individuals across Lancashire.

Following a Year of developing the project and the delivery infrastructure the project recently celebrated its 1st Birthday by holding a showcasing event at Brockholes Nature Reserve. The Event was designed to inform to key stakeholders across Lancashire of the support that is being given to individuals to improve their Health and Wellbeing to increase job prospects across all areas of Lancashire.

Participants on the project were able to tell the audience about the support they have received from one of the project mentors and how that has changed their lives and future prospects. The afternoon session included an Active Networking around the nature reserve giving partners time to learn more about the project and delivery so far.

Darren Wright, Relationship Manager and Project lead at Active Lancashire said, “it was great to see so many key stakeholders and project partners in the same room. The project was really brought to life by hearing some of the key success stories, challenges and future plans delivered by the partners.”
