About Research & Insight
We pride ourselves on being driven by the latest sports based research and insight. We have collated a wealth of local, national, sports, physical activity and health based intelligence that can support both our internal team and external partners in achieving strategic goals through a more evidence based approach.
With our in-house Research and Insight Team and an array of sports insight tools, we are able to build a clear picture of Lancashire resident's lives and their barriers to partaking in sport and physical activity. This research then helps inform current and future projects, allowing for us to tailor them to suit the complex and varying needs of the Lancashire population.

Reflective Practice
At Active Lancashire we recognised the important role reflecting on our work can have. To support this, we developed a reflection toolkit that aims to help our team undertake quality reflective practice. We also recognise that across various industries, reflection can play an important role in support individual and team health and wellbeing. With that in mind, we wanted to share our toolkit to anyone who is looking for a resource to get started with reflection. You can download a copy of the toolkit here.

Active Lancashire Local Authority Insight Dashboard
At Active Lancashire, we recognised there was a need for a central place where both our team and external partners, clubs, volunteers and the local Lancashire community could learn more about their local communities. To facilitate this, we have developed this dashboard that aims to fulfil this need. Using the dashboard, you can learn about inactivity levels across a range of different groups of people, whilst also learning about the wider demographic picture such as your local employment rate, crime rate and more! All the data comes from publicly available sources including Sport England Active Lives, Office for National Statistics, and Lancashire County Council. Finally, the dashboard includes some additional links to websites with further information if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
