Lancashire Schools Dance Festival Final takes place at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool

What. A. Night!!

On Wednesday 18th May 2022, it was the final of the Lancashire Schools Dance Festival at the prestigious Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The evening was a pure spectacle with the students setting an incredibly high standard. Over 1200 spectators, family and friends came to share their support and were treated with this fantastic display of dance, choreography, costumes and music.

Active Lancashire’s School Games Lead, Dominic Holroyd said ‘It was an amazing success with a fantastic turnout with over 1200 people in attendance supporting their family and friends. The standard and quality of the competitions was amazing, and School Games Organisers Lee and Gemma have done a terrific job in organising a brilliant event, at a great venue’

The results are as follows:

Primary School competition

1. Winners Sherwood Primary School (Preston)

2. Runners Up- Ansdell (Fylde)

3. Bronze - Waterfoot Primary School (Rossendale)

Secondary School competition

Winners - Hodgson (Wyre) 14 girls (year 7-10)

Runners Up - Parklands (Chorley)

Bronze - Alder Grange (Rossendale).
