Environmental Social and Governance Action

At Active Lancashire, we're dedicated to promoting physical activity and wellbeing in Lancashire while upholding principles of social responsibility and sustainability. Our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors is rooted in our belief that these aspects are integral to creating lasting value for our stakeholders.

Aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our ESG policy underscores our dedication to fostering a positive impact on the environment and society.

Environmental Policy

Our environmental policy outlines actionable steps towards reducing our carbon footprint, minimizing waste generation, conserving water, promoting active transportation, and fostering environmental responsibility across our supply chain.

Social Policy

We prioritise diversity, equity, and inclusivity in our workplace and programs, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all. Respecting human rights, understanding community needs, and promoting physical activity for everyone regardless of background are central to our social policy.

Governance Policy

Maintaining high ethical standards, transparency, and accountability is paramount in our governance practices. Effective risk management, a diverse Board of Directors, and regular policy and performance reviews ensure alignment with our commitments and progress towards the SDGs.

Our vision is to cultivate a healthier and more sustainable future by championing physical activity in line with ESG best practices and the UN SDGs. We integrate ESG considerations into our leadership, operations, and initiatives to achieve our long-term goals.
