Are you looking for a dynamic, innovative, and future-proof workforce for your Pendle business? We are here to help!

Our youth employment service works with young people aged 16 to 24 to provide them with the skills, experience, and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace. We then connect them with local recruiters like you, giving you access to a pool of talented, work-ready young people who are eager to join your team.

What are the benefits of hiring young people?

By hiring younger staff, you can bring fresh perspectives, energy, and enthusiasm to your business, tapping into new ideas and approaches that keep you up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. Plus, working with Pendle YES Hub means you're making a positive impact in your community and supporting the next generation of workers. These need your investment now to ensure the borough – and your business – has a quality workforce in place for the future.

How can we help you recruit?

Our service is tailored to your needs. We can recommend candidates who are a perfect match for your vacancy based on our knowledge of their skills and experience, gained through building a positive, trusting relationship with them at our various free weekly wellbeing activities and sports sessions.

We can also develop bespoke training programmes through our partnership with Lancashire Adult Learning, ensuring that your new employee has the skills they need to succeed in your business.

Additionally, we can arrange work placements with candidates, giving you the opportunity to assess their suitability for your business with no obligation to take them on afterwards (although we would ask that you provide them with a reference in this instance).

If you do decide to hire one of our candidates, we provide ongoing support and resources to ensure their success in your business.

Testimonials

Paul Flanagan, Head of Customer Service at Wavecrest in Nelson, said, "I had been struggling with recruitment in the area for a couple of months. I wanted to engage with a company that invested in the community and helped the younger generation. I visited Pendle YES Hub and it became apparent this is what I was looking for.

"As a result they put forward a couple of candidates for a vacancy, a really good mix that met our specifications. After interviews within Pendle YES Hub itself and our Customer Service Centre, we recruited a successful candidate. Within our business it is very important to find people with excellent customer service skills and we did with their support."

The successful candidate, Brandon Carmody, said, "I spoke to an advisor at the Hub who then let me know about the Wavecrest role. A year and half after my interview, I'm still here and it's the happiest I've ever been in any job. I get to speak to people all around the world and the office is very welcoming. The best thing about being employed is the confidence it gives you.”
