It is with great sadness that Active Lancashire wants to recognise the contributions of our valued colleague Linda Trafford who passed away on Friday 5th June after a short illness.
Linda worked for Active Lancashire for just over 3 years and was an integral member of the team, often being the go to person for new starters to the organisation. Working within the Finance Team she was approachable and friendly and always had a smile on her face. She quietly and confidently completed anything she was asked to do with great professionalism.
Although Linda’s role was part time she often went out of her way to be flexible to ensure that the needs of the organisation were met, going beyond what was expected of her. She had a kind heart and generous spirit and supported many colleagues in relation to personal pressures.
Away from the office she was a keen walker, played badminton regularly and was a member of the WI.
On behalf of the team and myself, we offer our deepest condolences to Linda’s husband David, daughters Julia and Victoria, her family and friends.
Giving to others was second nature to her and she will be greatly missed by us all.
