More about Tackling Re-offending

The benefits to the participant are:

The participant will work with a mentor who'll assess their needs, help identify and overcome any barriers. The mentor will also guide the participant into localised support through the local Housing Association and the Football Community Trust.

The support plan will be tailored to the needs of the participant using the Football Community Trust and Active Lancashire programmes which will include:

  • Sport and physical activities
  • Team Building
  • Health and nutrition
  • Work experience placements
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Help applying for jobs

The project is being delivered in Pennine Lancashire and Preston. The partners that are helping the deliver the programme are:

  • Active Lancashire
  • More Positive Together (Housing Associations)
  • Burnley FC in the Community
  • Accrington Stanley Community Trust
  • Blackburn Rovers Community Trust
  • Preston North End Community Trust
  • Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC)
