West Lancashire Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced Project Development Officer to support the implementation of its exciting and broad ranging Leisure Strategy which involves the construction of two new Leisure and Wellbeing Hub facilities in Ormskirk and Skelmersdale along with the refurbishment of an existing Leisure Centre in Burscough. Alongside these capital schemes the Council is also developing a range of community and neighbourhood based projects that will improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable previous experience of supporting the delivery of capital, revenue and operational projects along with evidence of successful partnership working. The role will require excellent communication and IT skills along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines and will run on a fixed term contract for 23 months.
