Why become a Nordic Walking Instructor?
As a Nordic Walking Instructor you can kick-start a change in career, complement an existing one, add another string to your bow, or simply extend your own enjoyment of Nordic Walking by teaching others.
Nordic Walking Instructors come from a wide range of backgrounds, including personal trainers, gym instructors, Pilates teachers, physiotherapists, osteopaths, GPs, cardiac rehab specialists, community workers, outward bound instructors, teachers, park rangers, retired people, walk leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, complementary therapists, fell runners, mountain leaders, career changers and people who just love Nordic Walking.

Why train with British Nordic Walking?
You will learn the highly effective INWA 10 Step Teaching Method TM to be able to teach a very wide range of people how to Nordic Walk. This methodology has been used all around the world since its creation by the INWA Educational committee in 2000. It comes with drills and exercises to help people learn and to keep your classes fresh and interesting throughout the year.
An internationally recognised qualification

Ours is the only Nordic Walking Instructor course offered in the UK that meets the standards of the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA). INWA Nordic Walking instructors trained by INWA member country organisations deliver sessions in approximately 40 countries around the world.
All our course tutors are INWA National Trainers whose association with INWA means they are always up-to-date with the latest Nordic Walking practice and theory.

British Nordic Walking is a Community Interest Company, committed to providing the best Nordic Walking training, as well as to developing Nordic Walking as an effective and accessible activity for health, well-being and fitness throughout the UK.

Are there any pre-requisites for the Nordic Walking Instructor Qualification?

There are no additional qualifications required to become a Nordic Walking Instructor.

We recommend that you have had a lesson in Nordic Walking from an INWA qualified instructor before attending your Instructor course.
